Conventional Solutions

Wax and Asphaltenes

  • Solvents - Blends of light oil aromatic solvents and alcohols that is miscible with acid packages that can penetrate heavier organic deposits.
  • Mutual Solvents - Non-ionic mutual solvent that is a mixture of alcohols and surfactants that is miscible in acid packages. Penetrates both hydrocarbons and aqueous phases to remove hydrocarbon deposits, improves wettability during or after treatment and prevents or breaks emulsions.
  • Dispersants - Blends of aliphatic and aromatic solvents used neat or in combination with additives for removal of wax and asphaltene deposits in production and injection wells.
  • Inhibitors - Prevent the nucleation, growth, and agglomeration of paraffin/wax and asphaltene deposits by crystal modification and pour point depression.
  • Surfactants 
    • HC Carryover - Penetrates both hydrocarbon and aqueous phases to strip hydrocarbons of scales, water wets, breaks emulsions, dissolves common oilfield sludge.
    • Non-Emulsifiers - Acid soluble, anionic non-emulsifier and anti-sludging agent used to prevents collective precipitation of asphaltenes and paraffins, and associated emulsions from occurring during HCl acid treatment.

Scale Solutions

  • Chrome Safe - Proprietary chrome plating safe acid for acid treatments of wells where rotors with chrome plating and chrome components are exposed for long periods. Product has very low corrosion rates while keeping the chrome plating intact, compared to standard synthetic acids.
  • Synthetic - A dermally safe HCl replacement acid for spearheads and workovers where ultra-low long-term corrosion, no precipitation, and high thermal stability.
  • Organic - Organic acids blends for low-mid temperature mineral scale dissolution/cleanout. Strips hydrocarbons off scale, dissolve carbonate and sulfide scale (Ca, Mg, Fe), disperse formation fines, water wet the formation and clean out wellbore areas that are affected by scale coated with paraffin and/or heavy oil deposits.
  • HCL – Customized hydrochloric packages available to fit the specific needs of each job, including the ability to accelerate or retard the reaction times.
  • HF Replacement - Proprietary liquid blend of multiple components for use as an additive to HCl to create mud acid or as a stand-alone silica scale, clays/fines dissolving product.
  • Speciality
    • Barite Dissolver - A single stage treatment for removal/dissolution of barite (barium sulphate) scale without the need for a gypsum converter stage.
    • Iron Sulphide Dissolver - Proprietary product used as either a standalone product or as an additive in HCl for effectively dissolving stable iron sulfide species (especially Pyrrhotite, Marcasite and Pyrite) at about twice the dissolution rate for standard HCl/iron control packages, without the generation of H2S.
    • Gypsum/Anhydrite Dissolver - A single stage treatment for removal/dissolution of gypsum (calcium sulphate) scale.

  • BioMass Breaker - Proprietary blend for removal of biomass, organic sludge and breaking down polymeric chains including frac gel residue or build-up.
  • Sludging - Acid soluble, anionic non-emulsifier and anti-sludging agents used to prevents collective precipitation of asphaltenes and paraffins, and associated emulsions from occurring during HCl acid treatment.
  • Polymer degradation - Proprietary blend for removal of polymeric chains including frac gel residue or build-up.
  • Formation Conditioning
    • Wettability - Water wetting surfactant used in acid packages to water wet the formation and ensure ease of inflow post acid treatment.
    • IFTR - Water-based mixture formulated with a unique blend of surfactants and organic solvents to lower interfacial tension between water and oil phases or between acid and oil phases.
  • Sand - Proprietary blends that can either aid in the dispersant of solids out of the well bore or conglomerate (without resin) solids from entering the well bore.
  • Foaming agents/Divertors - Acid miscible blends that aid in diverting treatment packages by increasing fluid viscosity.
  • Viscosity Reduction - Solvent based specialized surfactants formulated to create a unique water external dispersion, which can penetrate, solubilize and disperse heavy oil while in a water-based fluid.
  • Polymer Zonal Isolation - Blend of molecular polymers and crosslinker to seal off high flow fractures and pore space in producer, and direct channel between producer and injector
  • Well Integrity/Abandonment - Blend of polymers to seal off high flow cracks/openings in tubulars/casing or in a micro annulus around cement plugs.

Thermal Solutions

Wax/Asphaltenes

  • Aromatic/Mutual Solvents - Proprietary blend of heavy oil aromatic solvents and alcohols that is miscible with acid packages which penetrates both hydrocarbon and aqueous phases to strip hydrocarbons of scales, water wets, breaks emulsions, etc.

Scale Solutions

  • Silicates - Removal/dissolution of silicates, fines and silica-based scales along with hydrocarbon coating, asphaltenes, waxes, emulsions and leaves the formation water wet.
  • Calcium Carbonates – Proprietary blend acid solutions with adequate corrosion protection specifically designed to remove/dissolve carbonate scale deposits in high temperature wells.

    • Sludging - Anionic non-emulsifier and anti-sludging agent used to prevents collective precipitation of asphaltenes and paraffins, and associated emulsions from occurring during treatment.
    • Sand - Blend of solvents and surfactants for dispersing sand, fines and clay that can accumulate in wellbores and plug liner slots.
    • Viscosity Reduction - Solvent based specialized surfactants in a water-based fluid that creates water external dispersion for reducing the interfacial tension, viscosity and flow resistance of heavy oil/bitumen under higher temperature conditions.
    • Non-Emulsifiers - Blend of solvents and surfactants that penetrates both hydrocarbon and aqueous phases to prevent and breaks emulsions under high temperature conditions.
