SECURE’s ESG idea submission process has seen lots of activity since its launch in November 2021. One of the first ESG ID ideas submitted was from Deanna Chauvet, Operations Manager of Waste Management, Environmental Solutions, in northeast British Columbia. Deanna shared an agricultural recycling pilot project SECURE is involved with.

From July 9 – 18, people in Calgary dusted off their cowboy hats and boots to celebrate the return of the Calgary Stampede. Although it was a different Stampede from other years, SECURE participated in building community spirit through its annual Stampede Charity Campaign. Over the past six years, ticket sales and sponsorship for the event has raised more than $1.5 million for various local charities.
