Lunch and learns? Many of us haven’t heard that word in months, even a year! Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, getting together for a shared lunch and learning session has disappeared from our Outlook Calendars.

These days it’s all about Webinars.

We've seen our kids and/or teacher friends adapting to online learning over the past year, so why can't we?
SECURE made the switch to using Microsoft Teams (Teams) at the start of the pandemic in March 2020, and it could not have come at a better time. Internal teams have been able to connect over video chat easier than ever. In addition to this, Teams offers the option to broadcast meetings to groups outside the organization.

This brings us to the shift in customer hosting. Over the past several months spent social distancing, many of SECURE’s teams have adapted by hosting technical webinars for their customers.

The technical and sales teams in SECURE’s Drilling & Production Services division began hosting technology webinars back in April and has continued to host them. Each webinar sees around 100-150 attendees from across the industry. It’s a great way to continue to connect from afar with customers, vendors and fellow employees.

Although there are numerous webinar hosting platforms, Teams has been a great tool for employees. Allowing them to live stream events with features such as:

  • Sending webinar recording to attendees post-event
  • Allowing for a Q/A during event/webinar
  • Sending out a simple URL for users to join – whether they have Teams or not
Have any tricks to making your webinar even better? We’d love to hear about it in the comments.
